Say it ain't so, Sunshine!

T-Shirt Hell is on life support. I say "on life support," rather than "dying" because the good folks who bring you all the t-shirts advertised over there in the site sidebars recently announced a one-week reprieve from certain doom. But all things told, I guess Sunshine Megatron, the brave leader of Hell, finally got tired of the death threats, and decided to close up shop on the 16th of this month.

I personally think this is a great tragedy, if for no other reason than the $200 worth of shirts I kept meaning to buy from them. Now that the end times are upon us, I find myself without $200 to spare before their execution date. However, if you have some money, and secretly wanted to buy one of their shirts, I strongly encourage you to do it now. And send them a love letter while you're at it, since it seems the sudden outpouring of uncharacteristic affection from their fans is what's currently keeping the doors open an extra week …

Maybe if enough people give them enough warm fuzzies (and money, don't forget the money), they'll see fit to keep things going long enough that I'll be able to afford all the shirts I want too! ;-)

I love t-shirt hell. This is a dark time when evil twisted and plain offensive material is no longer available. As an owner of 4 of the shirts already, I'll be popping in a final order now too.

Is torsopants also closing? i think they are affiliated.

Actually torsopants closed a while ago, but a few of their shirts are listed on t-shirt hell for now (I want the chicken that says "Moo." among others).

I may have to start making some of my own offensive shirts, if they're taking their ball and going home. hmm…

It's really disappointing to me to see a site that's whole premise is pretty much "we don't give a fuck" close because of some whiny/angry emails.

@DavidGX: I get the feeling it was more just being sick of dealing with it, combined with actual death threats. I'm not sure I'd be willing to put up with that level of shit either.

Still tragic though. Especially given he said straight up he wouldn't consider selling the business.

OTOH, I can't help but wonder if, after they go under, they'd pursue legal action against someone who took a few of their old slogans and offered redesigned tshirts with 'em? hehe

Looks like they AREN'T going out of business. I'm glad. There's no way a site like that would have quit because of some retarded emails.

Oh good, if they stick around, I still have time to get my shirts. :-)
