There's no room for compromise between, "It's my choice whether or not to bear a child," and, "abortion is murder and should be illegal." So yeah, I'm not interested in compromise. And fwiw, I also don't give a fuck whether anyone respects my choices or not, so long as the law allows me to make those choices in the first place.

Quite frankly, I've never met anyone who is 100% against abortion who doesn't have a religious basis for their convictions. You say "not always the right decision", which is hardly the virulent control-freak argument I'm referring to in the first place, so I'm not sure what your point is there. Anti-abortion atheists, if they actually exist, are a small enough group of people their opinion isn't really statistically significant anyhow. heh

There might be some substance in there, but I can't see it because of all of the stereotypical anti-religious sentiment thrown in there. This does nothing for people like me who are not religious in any way, and yet think that abortion is not always the right decision. It seems that most of what you're saying is just anger toward people that disagree with you, and you make the error of assuming that their opinion must always come from religious convictions that you also assume are silly. You talk about your desire for people to respect such decisions, yet you put not an ounce of effort into mutual respect or compromise. To someone like me, your ways are no better than those whom you hate.

i am 25 i have never had a abortion. but if i was pregant i would have a abortion. it is my fucking body. that little fucking parisite is unwelcome and i would scrap it out asap. lol. if i burn in hell o well its my choice. so to all you women out there i aurge you to get pg just so you can enjoy having total control over your body. kill the fucking fetus. lol

wow, im actually pretty against abortion (even though ive always understood that sometimes it is absoloutely nescessary) but wow ive gotta admit, im impressed with this girl. she's not a dumbass either like 80% of the people who write about important issues like this.
she actually knows what she's talking about.
im pretty against abortion, but if i got pregnant i probly would have one. mostly cause im 14, and probly could not deliver a child anyways. but there are many cases where it is just wrong.
