a little thank you to our regulars

For those of you who know what the fuck I'm talking about, I've now "fixed" f*cking c*nts so that links left in comments, by regular commenters, are "dofollowed" instead of nofollowed. I think highly enough of my site regulars that I'm taking the shocking leap of trusting them to only leave legitimate links in their comments.

You'll notice a new little graphic at the bottom of the sidebar celebrating this upgrade: you link, i follow

I designed it myself, and if you'd like to "dofollow" your own WordPress blog, you're free to borrow the graphic to announce your improvements (but of course, I'd appreciate a link back here in return).

Are links to gay midget pron legitimate? ;-D

If it's your site (or your favorite site?), and you want to link it to your name, go for it. ;-)

Dude, gay midget pr0n, or "GiMP," is the height of all that is evil in the world.

Unless, of course, you're gay. Or a midget. Or both. I think that'd be a pretty narrow demographic. ;-)

@becca: Anything I can think of to say in response is so un-PC, I offend myself … lol

So how many comments constitutes a follow – and can you edit that in the plugin? ;-)

It's configurable … I think three comments is the minimum. I posted more gory/geeky details over on rant.mivox. (Didn't want to bore/scare the non-nerd regulars around here too much. hehe)

i work on a college newspaper and we just started our website using wordpress. I'll probably become a regular and maybe swap advice regarding wordpress if you like. I also like the content. Good stuff.

This sort of leaves the blog open to tons of spam :(

Not really … all new commenters have to have their first comments approved, and suspicious comments (even by regular commenters) are still held for moderation. :-)
