Hell yes, thanks for the link. Got one on the way.

Glad to spread the cheer … I ordered mine a couple days ago, but when they sent the email out saying it was open to everyone, I had to share. :-)

Because bumper stickers are the new tattoo. Sorry Alpha, but this isn't going to help the democratic party. Move-on is probably the worst friend anyone could have, and it's not going to help our economy, but do you really care?

  4. alphabitch said:

@Mister E: Personally, I don't think expressing your opinions is "no help" to anything … it's only by the exchange of idea that such ideas get spread. Are bumper stickers the be all and end all of political discourse? Fucking hell, I sure hope not … but I don't see how they hurt anything.

And in a predominantly right-wing area, such as where I live, I think the more visibility liberals and progressives can give themselves, the better. It might make someone else brave enough to stand up for their personal beliefs too.

As for not helping the economy, what the fuck does that have to do with anything? I really doubt it's hurting the economy in any measurable way.

I gave a donation and have 20 of them coming! (That should help the economy) ;)

  6. grimbles said:

You're missing his point. Obviously the only thing that can help the economy is a Republican!

  7. Thomas P said:

@grimbles: Maybe you haven't been paying attention but it's the republicans that have ruined the economy, and the one running for office has said "I don't know anything about economics."

  8. alphabitch said:

@grimbles: Good lord, you're right! What was I thinking?! I mean, yeah … just because they've almost single-handedly destroyed the economy so far doesn't mean the next one won't do better!

Fucking hell … Republican voters are kinda like abused wives: "Oh, but this time it will be better, really" they say at every election, black eye, bloody lip and everything.

@Thomas P: I'm pretty sure grimble was being sarcastic. ;-)

Glad someone donated too … I'm too damn broke at the moment to do so myself. I've never actually donated money to a political campaign before, but once I get caught up, this year is totally going to be an exception.

Hmmmm.. Bumper-sticker implies bumper.. bumper implies car,, car implies oil.. oil implies…hmmm,,, drilling in Alaska…OR buying the oil from friendly Saudi Arabia or your good friend in Venezuela… Shit,,if I had a car (and if I lived in the United States,, I would love a bumper sticker like this…!!!! (What kind of car does Obama park in his huge Chicago mansion's driveway???)

  10. alphabitch said:

@pedro: Nah, doesn't mean anything but "car" if you drive one of these. ;-)

All that car implies is that you are stinking rich, and have good taste. hehe

  11. grimbles said:

Hopefully by 2012, it'll just mean you have good taste: that's when Tesla are projecting to have their electric family car on the market.

  12. pedro said:

Yeah, that Tesla is so cool!

  13. alphabitch said:

Ooh, hey! Maybe Obama will push for incentives and subsidies for non-petroleum powered vehicles … ;-)

Well, even McCain thinks Cindy is a cunt.

"After Cindy teased him about his thinning hair at a campaign stop in 1992, John McCain allegedly lashed out, saying, “At least I don’t plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt.”

Stewart quickly tried to calm his shocked audience after repeating the slur.

“OK, seems a little harsh,” said the host, who’s featured McCain as a guest several times. “But in his defense, Sen. McCain’s a Navy man. That’s just salty Navy talk."
