So, to kinda make up for the fact that I've been caught up in my "I can only keep up with one thing at a time, so if I'm busy catching up on Project A, I can't spend hours putting 'quality time' into Project B" procrastination cycle, here's someone else talking about Sarah "Same Speech, Different Lipstick"* Palin …
Y'know, I'm totally not into hip-hop—which is apparently this guy's scene—but damn man. I've been watching his YouTube videos for … oh, about an hour now. Because I'm supposed to be busy catching up on client work, and therefore I can't be hanging out here writing new posts, but I can damn sure spend all afternoon fucking off by watching YouTube. Because, y'know, that's the way I roll, yo!
Yeah, I need to just leave the hip-hop thing alone. Very, very alone…
*Thanks to Fairbanks' very own Daily News-Miner for that headline today. [My bad. The headline was actually, "Same Speech, New Lipstick"] Fuck me, that was a little harsh for a right-leaning paper to be using against one of their own … but it sure made me laugh. That's right, a real, live LOL!

11th September 2008 at 12:43 pm | permalink |I had this problem with ie, that's why I stopped visiting for a while.
I installed Chrome and works fine, besides being much better than ie in everything else. Don't ask me why I didn't use firefox
OK, I've been asking everyone who emails me about the site formatting to SEND A FREAKING SCREEN CAPTURE, PLEASE!!!
I'm on a Mac, I use Firefox, and I'd really like to SEE what's going on for IE users, so I can fix it.
Will SOMEONE pretty pretty PLEASE take 5 minutes to snap a screen shot, and email it to me? Thank you!
11th September 2008 at 1:08 pm | permalink |Sent a screenshot. The site looks fine in firefox and google chrome.
IE is such a POS.. I don't know why anyone would willingly use it.

12th September 2008 at 9:14 am | permalink |Try this browser:
http://www.opera.com/
I’ve been using it for quite a while and I like it very much.
Chrome keeps track of every move you make on the net and reports back to Google, not very nice if you like your privacy.
@bill
That's if you enable the option for it to send usage statistics to google. It's an open source browser, they couldn't hide any nefarious things like that even if they wanted to.
It's fast, lightweight and really well designed. The only reason I'm not using it as my main browser is because there's no extensions or linux version (I run ubuntu) yet.
Opera is a great browser, but without all the extensions firefox has I don't have any reason to use it.
But hell, firefox, chrome, opera.. all 10x better than IE.

12th September 2008 at 11:21 am | permalink |I think you have to turn off the tracking function in Chrome rather than enabling it. Anyway, Google fuckin' reads your e-mail if you use gmail (to determine what kind of advertising shit to mail you) so I don’t actually trust them even if the tracking shit is turned off in Chrome.
And yeah, IE sucks! :)
So? Did Biden really say Hillary would have been a better pick than he is for VP???
12th September 2008 at 12:50 pm | permalink |Googles scripts look at keywords in your emails and uses those, it's not actually someone sitting down scouring through them.
There are firefox extensions that disable ads on gmail/google.com anyhow so.. good luck to them.
13th September 2008 at 3:17 am | permalink |OK, so I changed the stylesheet for the site slightly. Someone let me know if it fixes the IE formatting, please? Thanks. :-)
15th September 2008 at 2:35 pm | permalink |Biden didn't say she'd be a better pick. He said she'd have been a good pick too. Distortions! Just like the whole lipstick on a pig comment. IT was about McCain economic policy, Palin was not even mentioned in reference to it.
15th September 2008 at 2:44 pm | permalink |As a female from Fairbanks Alaska, I can damn well tell you that we don't consider Palin to be "One of our own."
22nd November 2008 at 3:47 pm | permalink |@MC: That's what I've been saying too. :-)
