@richard: Y'know, if you'd contributed ANY new facts or information while you were busy pointing out where I might be wrong, I might keep playing. But so far, you haven't pointed out one instance, backed up by any references, where I was actually wrong about any of this.

It's not libel if it's true. Do some fucking research, and come back with some facts and references that actually prove anything I've said (that I haven't already corrected) is wrong.

Or, go play in traffic. It's up to you.

Huh? What? You linked to an internet site that was indicative of nothing. If you're going to cite "supporting evidence" for your rants, then for God's sake … at least cite something relative to the time period in question! There is nothing to indicate that the "bus tours" even came into existence until a year AFTER McCandless' ill fated adventure. Denali Park Road, a 90 mile gravel trail traversed by one bus per day 16 years AFTER the "fact" is hardly what I'd call supporting evidence that McCandless screwed a decade and a half earlier by not following your advice this year. You've just taken "truthiness" to the extreme. LOL

And lookie here at what I found on an Alaskan National Parks website:
"Subsistence hunting is permitted in the 1980 land additions to the park, and sport hunting is permitted in the preserve portions of Denali. Local people harvest many different species of animals for food including moose, ptarmigan, grouse, and fish. They also harvest fox, marten, lynx, wolverine, beaver, and wolves for their fur."

The good news (for you) is that you probably can't be successfully sued for libeling the dead. It's just a despicable and reprehensible thing to do.:'(
