Everyone's Vagina is 8 Miles Wide!

I admit, I have been super lax with this site lately. But then, I've been super lax about EVERYTHING lately. So there you go. We all have our ups and downs. But, regardless of all that, EVERYONE needs to see this video. Even better if you memorize the lyrics and sing it at inopportune moments during daily life…

How much does THAT rock?! Seriously!?

Hah, that's funny. You know… I've never had a problem with a woman being "loose".

THAT'S AMAZING! Vigantic is my new favorite word. In fact, I just sent in an updated definition on urban dictionary ^_^

I like it, in fact I went & checked out some of her other stuff. Very good, I think I might buy a CD or 2.
Glad to see you posting again-ya slacker.

There is also this, which I may, just maybe, love even more:

Well, no, not MORE … but love just as much in a more "in your face" kinda way, definitely!

    And these lyrics:

Call me crazy, cause I am.
    And alive and alive…
…that's the way I turn a nose dive into flight.
Call me psycho, cause I am.
And I am alive, thank god I'm alive.
I make music out of the voices in my mind.
And this crazy helps me to see this as funny,
makes me feel rich without money, honeypie.
Then my brain goes over and over and oh no,
can't get away from the shadow land mines.
Call me later, just to see
    that I got home alive,
    and I'm alright.
I'm just kidding, you know me, I'll be fine.
It's just this crazy helps me to see death as money,
makes me feel great without money, honeypie.
Then my brain goes over and over and oh no,
can't get away from her shadow, can I?
Call me crazy, cause I am.
    Thank god I'm alive…

    Holy shit.

I know this is a little sideways of the subject, but it's related as a feminist link.
I'm a 50 year old veteran, and Jane Fonda has always been a sore spot for me because of what I have perceived as her near traitorous behavior during the Vietnam war. I can't honestly say I've ever heard her side of the story before.
I ran across this interview of her by Bill Mayer (a bit of an extremist himself). I must admit, it's possible I have misjudged Madam Fonda. Granted, this may be revisionist crap, but it also could be the truth. One thing is certain, and that is that there was precious little truth issuing from our leaders.

See now, I think the world needs a fuck of a lot MORE Bill Mahers out there. ;-) And Fonda's explanation makes more sense than the "ZOMG, SHE'S A COMMIE TRAITOR BITCH" line I always heard. She hasn't done much else in her life to suggest she's a commie traitor bitch, that I know of… ;-)

  9. Zeke said:

I just mentioned that he was a bit of an extremist. I certainly am not implying that the world would do well with less like him.
I agree with much of what he says, but ridicule is not exactly effective diplomacy now is it. It is however, fun, in an uncivilized way.

"but ridicule is not exactly effective diplomacy now is it. It is however, fun, in an uncivilized way."
That seems to be a mildly redundant thing to be saying on this of all blogs… =p

@ab: You forgot the part where she didn't admit to being a commie traitor bitch. That's a sure sign of being a commie traitor bitch.

That does rock. She is beautiful.

Actually, I would like to go to Portland to see her one woman stage show. It looks really interesting.

  13. alphabitch said:

@Zeke: My bad … generally when people call someone an "extremist", they mean it in a bad way. ;-)

And I must side with grimbles on the ridicule thing. I'd be our of a website if everyone was all civilized about shit. lol!

@Heather: Yeah, I'd totally love to go see her. Hell, we might be about equal distance from Portland too! ha!

  14. Heather said:

ok…I just bought bought her albums on itunes..she is AMAZING…well worth buying both albums. She could probably sing any genre and be great!

You shouldn't let your children listen to it either, it gets you into trouble – my 9 year old daughter reeled off the opening lines when someone said 'little girls should be seen and not heard' to her.

State control and rock and roll
    Are run by clever men
What they sell is selling very well
And the price is up again
State control and rock and roll
    Are run by clever men
What you know is what they show
So it all goes round again

State control and rock and roll
    Are run by clever men
    Politics are ultra chic
    And wars are in again
State control and rock and roll
    Are run by clever men
    Revolution's this year's thing
We're on the streets again – and again

State control and rock and roll
    Are run by clever men
    It's all good for business
They're in the charts again – and again
State control and rock and roll
    Are run by clever men
    They build you up
    And they break you down
Then you're on the dole again
    And again

You know it's true but what can you do
Look for a gap and get out of the trap
It's a vicious circle try and break loose
    Break out of the trap
    Get out of the noose
You know it's true but what can you do
    Cos what you're feeling
    Is a human being
Not this year's thing or last year's thing
    This year's thing or next year's thing…

Serves 'em right … maybe they missed the memo that it's 2009 and not 1949?

  19. ian said:

That's about how I looked at it – first reaction was embarassment then I thought 'Well done girl – you aren't going to spend your life as part of the oppressed masses are you'

  20. ian said:

Perhaps a little more explanation – I love my daughters and would really like them to grow up to be strong independent women with similar values to alphabitch (You are still actually a great role model to some people -hehe), however the first time they show these attributes can be a bit embarassing especially if you are not prepared for it beforehand!

  21. alphabitch said:

lol … I think I make a wonderful role model! So long as you don't want your kids growing up to be "well-adjusted, middle-class professionals" of any sort. ;-)

  22. ian said:

How anyone could ever have such mediocre aspirations for their kids I really don't know – I'd much prefer that they crash and burn shooting for the stars than achieve mediocrity.

P.S. I came across these two biographies in Wikipedia a few days ago, both of whom fit the bill of role model rather well too.

    Hellé Nice

    Eliška Junková

  23. grimbles said:

We must have different meanings of well-adjusted. Cos I'd consider well-adjusted and middle-class-professional to be almost mutually exclusive… >.>

  24. Becca said:

    @alpha: "Well adjusted, middle-class professionals"?

    "Wampies"? :-)

  25. grimbles said:

    Huh?

Also, Becca, post more, I've almost doubled your spam count, and I'm feeling self-consciously loud.

  26. Becca said:

@ grimbles: Perfect analogy on the Wampa. :-)

As for posting, I'd love to do more, but work has been taking a heavy toll on my personal life, lately (f'ing POMs). Yeah, I know, I'm a sellout to the system. What can I say?

  27. alphabitch said:

@ian: Aww man, that first story was sad as fuck. :-( But yeah, better role models than someone like Sarah Palin, for damn sure!

    @grimbles: Well, that's the "well-adjusted" middle-class' definition of well-adjusted, at least. ;-)

@Becca: It doesn't sound flattering as an acronym, does it? lol

  28. grimbles said:

POMs? As in, Brits? I didn't think pom was used in the Americas…

Or are you complaining about parallax occlusion mapping? Polyoxymethylene? Prescription only meds? Small fuzzy, yappy dogs?

If it's a Brit thing, pom is so not an acronym. That's folk etymology.

  29. ian said:

"Aww man, that first story was sad as fuck"

    Why?

Is that not where true heroism lies? Those whose actions may be be misrepresented or hijacked by their contemporaries for reasons of politics or social expediency have oft become the most famous of all in the long term.

  30. ian said:

P.S. Sent the story to my daughter for her opinion – will be intersting to find out if she considers it sad too.

  31. alphabitch said:

@grimbles: No, "WAMPIES" doesn't make a good acronym … hence the "@Becca" in front of that line. ;-)

@Ian: Sad because she got so completely screwed over for absolutely no good reason. True heroism? More like true tragedy… it would be very compelling as a fictional tale, but as a real life story, it's just fucking sad.

  32. grimbles said:

Well, the preceding post from Becca did have mention of POMs too :'(

  33. ian said:

Sad that she got screwed over without good reason – yes. Tragic No – Plenty of memories there to recount in later years, lived life to the full. True tragedy is failing to try not failing to achieve.

  34. Becca said:

@ grimbles: POM as in Brit. I live in London these days (over a year now), so I feel it's okay for me to use the vernacular.

  35. grimbles said:

    Fair enough :)

  36. alphabitch said:

@ian: I was thinking of the dramatic definition of tragedy, where misfortune is an inevitable result of a character flaw and/or something the tragic figure did (in her case, having the nerve & talent to compete in a "male" sport).

Failing to try is just laziness … I don't see anything tragic about that.
